And the Award Goes to...
Well, we went for the 18th week ultrasound today. Both Kris and I were staring and squinting at the realtime images, trying to see if we see the sex of the baby. I guess there's a reason neither one of us are in OB:
For a moment I thought I saw it. The family jewels. The stick and berries. The bird and the eggs. My heart nearly exploded with pride, seeing a long snake the length of the baby's arm.Us: "Oooo, is that the baby's eyes??"
But no, as it turns out it wasn't some macropenis; that was the umbilical cord.
Finally the tech zooms in on the crotch area....

Yup, we're expecting a girl!! (which was what we were secretly hoping for all along, but didn't want to make it public)
So you readers were right!

oh no, i read this too late.
would've asked you to test the old wives tale of buying 1 kg of ginger (exactly 1 kg, no more, no less)
then you count the pieces of ginger you've got. odd number = boy
even number = girl.
what would you do with all the ginger? give it to the ah ma to cook soup =p
oh well. guess the ultrasound confirms it (though i was thought to be a boy until the day i came out, go figure).
But yay for the addition to the oestrogen pool =)
congratulations again!
You do know that when they say it's a girl, there's still a small percentage it could still be a boy? :P
Happened to me the other day when we were doing the Caesar and announced the sex of the bub, and dad flew off the chair (literally!) exclaiming that he's bought nothing but PINK!
(they are right most of the time though).
Hahaha!!! Congrats.
